Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, culturally curious, and detail-oriented Destination Planning Manager to design and deliver luxury, immersive Destination Experiences (DEs) across global destinations. This role is responsible for curating exceptional shoreside programs that offer our Residents and Guests exclusive access, deep cultural connection, and seamless execution. The ideal candidate brings hands-on cruise industry experience and a refined understanding of luxury travel standards, destination operations, and elevated guest expectations.
This is a hybrid in-house position, requiring three days per week in the office and two days working remotely.
RESPONSIBILITIES –
Destination Experience Curation
- Design luxury, culturally authentic destination experiences across international ports.
- Conduct in-depth destination research to develop meaningful, high-end offerings.
- Collaborate with local experts, artisans, and premium operators to secure exclusive access.
- Partner closely with onboard teams (including Fitness, Food & Beverage, and Enrichment) to align shoreside experiences with onboard programming.
- Refine programs based on luxury travel trends and guest feedback.
Vendor Management & Contracting
- Manage and negotiate with international luxury suppliers and DMCs.
- Lead RFPs, contracting, and secure value-added enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with financial, insurance, and service standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
Itinerary & Logistics Management
- Contribute destination expertise to itinerary planning, supporting optimized scheduling and expert-led experiences.
- Coordinate with onboard teams and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date program details in internal systems (Tapestry, CMS).
- Oversee transportation and in-port logistics, including shuttles and transfers.
Industry Engagement & Administration
- Leverage a strong global luxury travel network and strategic partnerships.
- Participate in relevant industry events and trade shows.
- Maintain strong administrative and technical proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint tools).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS –
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years in luxury travel and destination planning.
- 3+ years in shipboard cruise operations, preferably shore excursions.
- Proven experience managing international vendors and contracts.
- Travel to ship and global destinations to support curated destination experiences.
