Sports & Golf Manager – Luxury Mega Yacht

We are currently looking for an energetic Sports & Golf Manager who will promote and offer instruction for golf, tennis, paddle tennis and watersports to our Residents, sailing aboard the planet’s largest private luxury residential yacht.

The Sports & Golf Manager’s primary responsibility is to coordinate and provide an exceptional sporting and golfing experience to all Residents and Guests, including advanced planning of excursions, instructions, scheduling, information and support in all areas of Sports and Golf both onboard and ashore.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and offer instructions for golf, tennis, paddle tennis, and water sports
• Organize all aspects of golf excursions and dive excursions including, but not limited to, advanced reservations, transportation, billing
• Prepare and deliver presentations on upcoming sporting events and golf outings
• Responsible for Marina Day, beach and watersports operations and equipment including scheduling, set up, cleaning, storage and supervision
• Schedule and promote televised sporting events in conjunction with the Program Manager
• Inspect the Sports areas and venues on a daily basis and create work orders for repairs if needed
• Establish relationships with the leading Golf Clubs around the world, enabling access for our Residents and Guests
• Regular research on new Golf Clubs and stay abreast of industry trends with a view to implementing onboard
• Conduct regular inventories of sports equipment
• Interact with Residents and Guests during Program functions and events
• Conduct research for the following year’s golf and dive program
• Research local sporting events in upcoming ports that might be of interest to Residents and Guests, coordinate with Concierge purchase of tickets, if requested
• Update weekly publications with schedule of sporting events
• Manage “The Zone” area in the absence of the Youth Coordinator 

Hiring Requirements

• Able to read, write and speak fluently in English
• PGA Member or BA/BS 3-4 years Degree in Business and Sports Management or Golf (or foreign equivalency) essential
• PADI Advanced or above preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort
• Experience teaching sporting activities, such as tennis, paddle tennis, racket sports required
• One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred
• Good computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of point of sales systems, inventory management systems, Fidelio and computerized reservation systems
• Keen interest in sports including water activities
• Solid administrative and organizational skills
• Team player
