Engine Repairman – Luxury Residential Mega Yacht

The Engine Repairman’s primary function is the maintenance and repair of the machinery and technical equipment including metal fabrication/metalworking on board the vessel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all machinery spaces in a clean and safe condition
• Reconditioning and overhaul of standard components
• Support diesel Engine overhauls and periodical maintenance
• Repair, fabrication and replacement of piping systems
• Assist the Chief Mechanic with safe and efficient maintenance and repair of plant and machinery
• Support work place safety and utilize appropriate PPE at all times
• Assist Chief Mechanic with bunker station operations
• Additional duties as directed by Chief Mechanic and other Engine Division Supervisors

Hiring Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience on passenger vessels as Engine Repairman or similar experience in lieu of this
• Basic Safety Training as per STCW requirements, including STCW III/5
• Experience in welding techniques; ARC, TIG and Oxygen/Acetylene
• Qualified in operation, and usage, of standard mechanical workshop equipment as; Grinding, Drilling, Lathe, Flame Metal Spraying, Plasma and Milling Machines etc.
• Qualified in basic metal work and pipe fabrication
• Well versed in speaking, reading and writing English
