The Human Resource & Recruitment Manager manages the entire recruitment process for both shipboard and corporate open positions. They are a key member of a small and efficient HR team, this position also serves as the Company’s welcome ambassador and are responsible for new hire processing, general employee welfare and relations in addition to company-wide Human Resource and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Sources, researches, interviews, screens and recommends candidates for job openings for the Florida Office and The World
  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
  • Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants
  • Works with external recruiters and manning agencies to identify and recruit candidates
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Reviews applications and pre-screens all applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position
  • Develops and coordinates job postings; both internal and external
  • Directs and manages the Internal Promotion process
  • Oversees and manages the Human Resources Assistant
  • Works closely with the onboard Training & Development Manager to develop and implement training initiatives both ship and shoreside
  • Responsible for benchmarking studies and analysis
  • Collaborates with the VP of Human Resources on other Human Resource initiatives
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation
  • Conducts Exit Interviews, analyzes trends and reports out
  • Writes job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others
  • Writes Standard Operating Procedures

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and/or 5 years’ experience in a Recruitment / HR role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar capacity within a Human Resources role preferably for a luxury cruise ship or luxury hospitality industry
  • Track record of sourcing and recruiting highly talented individuals
  • Additional languages a plus
  • Excellent Computer skills, to include Excel, Word, Visio, Power point and internet
  • Solid knowledge of Human Resources compliances, including but not limited to hiring laws, regulations, best practices and policies
  • Strong world-wide knowledge of geography, travel and visa requirements
