The Program Coordinator / Youth Coordinator Relief is a unique role onboard and has the responsibility of relieving each of both positions while they will be on vacation during a 4-month contract. The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to perform all administrative duties within the Program division, whilst working with the Program Manager to develop and deliver new activities and events. This position is the main contact person for Program contractors coming on board as well as being an active part of onboard and shoreside activities including Marina Days and Beach landings amongst others.
Responsible for all administrative duties related to the Program Division, including but not limited to:
The Youth Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of the onboard children’s programs and activities. This position is seasonal and therefore only required for seasonal times during the year. The Youth Coordinator plans the children’s program, especially during Easter, the summer holidays and end of year festive season as well as keeping all premises as per Public Health and safety standards. Hiring Requirements · Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort · BA/BS 3-4 years Degree in Early Childhood Education (or foreign equivalent) preferred · First Aid and CPR certified · Excellent administrative, planning and organizational skills · Experience working in a multi-cultural environment · Advanced computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook · Outgoing personality with good public speaking skills · Able to read, write and speak fluently in English · One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred Along with worldwide travel opportunities, The World offers many other benefits.
