Housekeeping Attendant

The Housekeeping Attendant’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all Public and Crew Areas are maintained according to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness.

JOB SPECIFICS

Housekeeping Operations

  • Perform general cleaning duties in a range of public and crew areas which includes elevators, stairwells and landings, restrooms, medical center, fitness center, spa, lounges, offices, housekeeping pantries, lockers, laundries and the vacuuming of dining venues.
  • Provide efficient cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas according to Public Health regulations.
  • Report maintenance issues in public and crew areas
  • Responsible for setting up Bali Beds ( for R&G requesting to sleep under the stars)
  • Provide cabin service to Officers and Crew including linen change, bed making, cleaning of bathrooms and overall cabin, removal of garbage, collection and return of laundry for Officers, cabin set up protocols and reporting of maintenance issues
  • Assist with embarkation and disembarkation duties as requested by the Supervisor
  • Participate in other duties such as deep cleaning, carpet shampooing and waxing as instructed by Supervisor.

General

  • Exceed Resident and Guest expectations in every aspect of personalized service in accordance with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards and participate in regular trainings
  • Actively support the goals and objectives for the department and adhere to all new policies and company initiatives as assigned
  • Maintain accurate Time & Attendance Records for each time period worked
  • Ensure all areas are maintained in accordance with Public Health, Safety Management System (SMS) and Safety & Environmental regulations; adhering to Company Policies and procedures as appropriate to the position
  • Execute safety duties as per the Emergency Plan and Station Bill
  • Assist with Ship tours, Zodiac landings, Marina days, Expeditions, and other activities when required

Hiring Requirements

  • Able to read, write and speak fluently in English
  • High school Diploma preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort
  • One additional language is preferred
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment.  Well organized
