The IT Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage multiple projects and deliver them on time, within budget and scope.

Responsibilities

A strong understanding of, and ability to execute project management methodologies and tools.

The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the successful completion of projected related activities.

Planning: 30%

  • Works with business leaders to understand and document requirements
  • Works with IT and product owner to document product requirements
  • Works with vendors to obtain project specific documentation
  • Establish formal meeting controls – update meetings, project updates, meeting summaries, etc

Execution: 70%

  • Successfully manage and execute projects on schedule and on budget
  • Accountable for in-scope, on-schedule, on-budget and high-quality delivery of all IT programs and projects in the accountable portfolio
  • Follows and exemplifies consistent project management practices, processes, and metrics
  • Develop clear, business language presentations for business senior leadership to support swift decision making and issue resolution when needed
  • Maintains, socializes and enforces the overall project management lifecycle for Clients
  • Work with the IT leaders and product owner(s) and key executives on key decision-making activities during project execution as needed

Hiring Requirements

  • Experience in managing software development and infrastructure implementation projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Smart Sheet, MS Projects and MS Excel
  • Able to travel internationally
  • Previous experience managing shipboard dry-dock projects is desired
  • Experience managing different types of IT projects, including:
  • Managing multiple projects at same time
  • Delivering web-based projects while using agile methodologies
  • Delivering network infrastructure and cabling projects
  • Delivering server upgrades
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving/decision making skills
  • Ability to work out of the country for 4 to 6 weeks at a time
