Program Manager – Luxury Mega Yacht

The Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of the programming for the Residents and Guests. This role oversees, facilitates and hosts the day-to-day onboard entertainment and activities by implementing programs as established with the Shoreside Enrichment and Program team. The Program Manager oversees the Guest Lecturers and musicians and often acts as the master of ceremonies for onboard programs. He/She communicates on a daily basis with all stakeholders, including the Captain, F&B Manager and other relevant teams to keep everything on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan the onboard Program in conjunction with the Manager, Programming and Enrichment shoreside.
• Act as Ship designated Master of Ceremony for all Program and Ship events.
• Responsible for the content and delivery of the daily TV program, including hosting broadcasts both on and off the ship (destination specific).
• Act as the principal contact for all onboard talent including but not limited to: Guest Lecturers, Musicians, plays and local shows and attend to their needs on board.
• Ensure the Youth Program is running according to onboard policies and procedures.
• Responsible for overseeing the onboard execution of expeditions and ensuring effective communication with the Expedition Team, on-board Management and Shoreside partners.
• Create and design all events and activities, including Residents’ events with the relevant Program Team members. This includes, but not limited to, props, scenery, casting, rehearsals, set up and break down.
• Responsible for scheduling, coordinating and overseeing Marina Days and Beach Landings in conjunction with the Sports & Golf Manager.
• Socialize with Residents and Guests while keeping a professional distance.
• Exceed Resident and Guest expectations in every aspect of luxury service in accordance with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards; conduct regular operational training.
• Continuously review the operation and make recommendations to enhance the product; follow up and resolve Resident and Guest issues; conduct regular in-depth inspections of all operational areas to spot issues and submit AVOs and ICANs accordingly; follow up on ICANs relevant to the division.
• Contribute to the development of the onboard product and our commitment to “bringing the destination alive” by creating and delivering events and experiences for Residents and Guests

Hiring Requirements

• Able to read, write and speak fluently in English
• Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Cruise Director or Events Manager on a luxury Cruise Ship, Private country Club or similar, luxury Hotel or Resort
• One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred
• Good computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of point of sales systems, inventory management systems, Fidelio and computerized reservation systems
• Excellent administrative, planning and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of creating budgets
